Helen M. Johnson

Helen M. Johnson, 80 of Canon City, died Nov. 7, 2000. She was born Feb. 3, 1920, in Springer, N.M., to Julian and Lucy (Lopez) Sedillo.
Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker, a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and a member of the Canon City Eagles Auxiliary.
She moved from New Mexico to Aurora as a young child, and attended and graduated from aurora schools. She, her husband and her family lived mostly in the Denver area. In 1960, she and her husband moved to Florence and then later to Canon City. She enjoyed working in crafts, dancing and playing Bingo.
On Jan. 4, 1940 in Denver, she married Helmer Johnson, who preceded her in death in 1977.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by children...; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and brothers and sisters: Art Sedillo of Penrose, Mike Sedillo of Denver,... . [Some survivor information omitted to protect privacy of living individuals.]
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two great-grandchildren, one sister and one brother.
Scriptural service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 10, at St. Michael's Catholic Church, with Father James King officiating.
Interment will be in Mountain Vale Memorial Park.
