Elenore L. Franke, nee Novak, a resident of Carillon, Plainfield, IL and formerly of Ocala, FL and Johnstown, PA, passed away on February 20, 2012 at Edward Hospital, Naperville, IL. Elenore was born on February 4, 1928 in Johnstown, PA to the late Casimir and Marcella Nowak.

Elenore is survived by her beloved husband, John. They truly loved and were devoted to one another for 61 years. She is also survived by her loving children, Ken Franke of Woodridge, IL, Kathy (Chris) Lavery and Kimberly (Ray) Bingham, both of Downers Grove, IL; her cherished grandchildren, Kristin (Carl) Monaco, Samantha Franke, Sarah (Nate) Galati and Johnathan Bingham; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and four brothers and five sisters.

Elenore retired as an office manager with Loyola Medical Center in 1987. She was a dedicated volunteer at Loyola Medical Center and Edward Hospital for many years, loved to bowl, play cards and was a great baker. Elenore truly enjoyed the many road trips her and John took over the years, as well as their time living in Florida. She was also an active parishioner at St Ambrose Church, Crest Hill and St Joan of Arc Church, Lisle.

For those who would like to leave a lasting tribute to Elenore's life, memorials to either the Edward Foundation, 801 S. Washington St, Naperville, IL 60540 or to St Ambrose Catholic Church.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 23, 4:00-8:00 PM at the Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Naperville. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 24, 10:00 AM at St Ambrose Catholic Church, 1703 Burry Circle, Crest Hill, IL. Interment will follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
