The funeral of John Henry Mount who died at his home here early Monday morning, will be held from the home at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon with Rev. JH Wilson of the Christian Church in charge. Burial will be at Oak Hill cemetery.

Mr. Mount, aprominent Republican here, was formerly sheriff of the county and served four years as a city councilman.
Mr. Mount was born May 7, 1857 west of Crawfordsville, the son of John E. and Mary A. Mount. He united in marriage to Lily B. Annabelle, August 29, 1879. Mr. Mount was a charter member of Camp 6 POS of A and was also identified with the Odd Fellows Lodge, Modern Woodmen, Eagles, Moose and Elks.
For the past 40 years Mr. Mount had been engaged in the transfer and storage business. Those surviving are the wife; three daughters Mrs. Charles Earl of this city; Mrs. CO Walling of Miami, Fla and Mrs. Paul Jones also of Crawfordsville. One sister, Mrs. William Francis and one brother, Joseph M. Mount of this city also survive, as do four grandchildren. One son, John Joseph died in 1903
