Dorothy Pearl Smith, 98, of Ashland passed away Thursday, April 24, 2008, at Ashland Healthcare.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 27, at Nashville Baptist Church. Burial will be in Nashville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Robinson Funeral Home.

Dorothy was born March 3, 1910, in Boone County, the daughter of James and Martha Dozer McCoy. She married Paul Smith on Dec. 21, 1931, in Columbia, and he preceded her in death. Dorothy was a homemaker and a member of Nashville Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Ronald Smith and wife Betty of Ashland, and David Smith and wife Donna of Columbia; one daughter, Joyce Persinger of Columbia; one sister, Mary Gilpin of Ashland; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Also preceding her in death were two sisters.
