Julian Steve Bethel, 65, died Wednesday, May 11, 2005 at Integris Grove General Hospital. He was born on July 11, 1939 in Zena, OK to Julian Jacob and Mary Belle (Messimore) Bethel. He married Phyllis Kocher on December 23, 1965 in Pratt, KS. She preceded him in death on March 24, 1985. Julian lived most of his life in Grove. He did various jobs around the area and loved to spend time outdoors. Survivors include his mother, Mary Belle Bethel of Zena; one daughter, Mary Maxine Hicks of Zena; four grandchildren with another due in July. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 14, 2005 at Zena Cemetery with Rev. Larry Jackson officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, OK.
