LAS VEGAS, Nev. - Therese Blair Perkins, 100 years old, passed away at Silver Hills Health Care Center, Las Vegas, Nev., on Friday, April 8, 2005. She was the elder of six children born to William A. and Mable H. Blair on Feb. 18, 105, in Oswego, Kan.
She is survived by her only daughter, Marilyn Perkins Karns, Las Vegas; two grandchildren, Scott Karns (Rita), Santa Fe, New Mexico; Leslie Sandoval (Victor), Las Vegas, Nev.; four great-grandchildren, Sean and Tristan Karns, Blair and Robert Schumacher; and her youngest brother, Larry Blair, who resides in Thornton, Colo.
Two sisters and two brothers preceded her in death.
She married Robert Perkins of Oswego in 1926. He passed away in 1967. Later she married Frank West, who also preceded her in death.
On the occasion of her 100th birthday, a gala celebrtion was held which she thoroughly enjoyed due to the prescence of her brother and nieces and nephews from all corners of the country.
Memorial services will be held May 8, at The First Presbyterian Church in Oswego. Memorial donations to charities or hospices of choice are requested in lieu of flowers.
