He lived in Missouri at one time but has made his home in Centerville, Iowa in 1873 and lived there ever since.
Mr. Ketrow was well known in this city, employed at Keokuk & Western Railroad as a Telegraph Lineman, John was in charge of inspecting telegraph wires over the K. & W. railroad.
He had been with the company for about eight years and was a conscientious, hard working employee and was liked, admired and trusted by a large number of people.
The funeral of John W. Ketrow, yesterday afternoon from heart trouble and complications, was held this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the family residence on Elm Ave. in, South Centerville and burial was made in Oakland cemetery, the services being conducted by Rev. F. L. Moffett, of the Christian church, of which the deceased was a member.
He was married on December 13, 1884, at Mendota, Mo. to Miss Ida Ridgeway and his wife with five children survive him. Mr. Ketrow was a member of the Burlington Relief and his family which is left in rather poor circumstance will receive an insurance indemnity.
The following family members came to town having been called by the sickness and death of their brother.
