LOIS BOHL SHELTON
Lois Bohl Shelton, age 76, of Sheridan, Oregon, died Sunday, August 11, 1996, on her 50th wedding anniversary. Lois Bohl Shelton was the youngest daughter of the late Alfred Peter Bohl and Annie Schneider Bohl.
Lois graduated from high school in Bigfoot, Texas, in 1939. After graduation, she attended Majestic Beauty School in San Antonio, Texas, and obtained a State Board license to operate a beauty shop. After obtaining the license, she went to Pearsall, Texas, where she operated a beauty shop for Mrs. Lucille Nixon for many years.
In Pearsall, Texas, she met Kirby Shelton (better known as Jack Shelton). Lois and Jack were married at the home of her parents on August 11, 1946. From this marriage there were two children; namely, Kirby Shelton and Lollie Shelton. The Shelton family lived in Texas for a number of years before moving to Oregon.
Lois was preceded in death by son, Kirby Shelton, on June 25, 1989. Survivors are her husband, Kirby (Jack) Shelton; daughter, Lollie Shelton Conn, and husband Steve Conn; sisters Marie Brown of Lytle, Texas, and Bertha Graham of Devine, Texas; daughter-in-law, Edna Shelton; four grandsons and one granddaughter.
Funeral services were held on August 14, 1996, at 2:00 p.m., in Oregon.
