Ada was the daughter of William Harrison Parks and Mary Ann Wilson. Mary Wilson Parks died Oct. 25, 1864 in Fulton Co., Illinois. Ada is living with her father and step-mother Sarah Ann Brink Parks in Farmers, Fulton, Illinois in 1870 cenus. Between 1870 and 1880 she is adopted by Benjamin Smith and Margaret Rutledge Smith and there is a new daughter in the Parks household, Mary Luella Parks. Ada is only with the Smiths for 5 years, then she marries William W Hunnicutt in 1885.
