Mr. Church, was a son of Sanford B. and Katherine Church. He served in the US Army in Germany 1952-1953. He then went on and graduated with a law degree from Syracuse University.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Joyce (Castell); 3 children, Sanford A. (Diane) Church, Katherine (Steven) LaLonde and Julie (Scott) Sanford and 7 grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a sister, Betty Rasmussen.

Church, Sanford L. "Ted", Albion, 78, passed away Dec. 15, 2007. retired attorney of Church & Church in Albion and US Army veteran serving from 1951-53. Mr. Church was on the Board of Directors at Oak Orchard Community Health Center, Trustee at SUNY Brockport, chairman of Orleans County Democratic Party and member of the Albion Lions Club.He was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Albion for 65 years.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Joyce (Castell); 3 children, Sanford A. (Diane) Church, Katherine (Steven) LaLonde, Julie (Scott) Sanford, all of Albion, 7 grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by a sister, Betty Rasmussen.
Calling hours will be held on Tues. (12/18) from 2-4, 7-9 pm at the Merrill-Grinnell Funeral Home, 12 Ingersoll St., Albion. Services will be Weds. at 1:30 pm at the Albion First Presbyterian Church with Pastor Gary Saunders officiating. Interment in Mount Albion Cemetery with military honors. Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Albion.
