She was a lifelong Duluth resident and worked as a registered nurse for St. Luke's Hospital for over 35 years. She belonged to the St. Luke's Nurses Alumni Association, and she also did volunteer work in the hospital. She served as president of AARP for three years and had also served as its secretary.
She was a lifelong member of Our Savior's Evangelical Lutheran Church and was active in the Young at Heart, Fifty Plus and Altar Guild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Lily Bendure.
Alice is survived by her sister, Mary Lee (John R.) Carlstrom of Davenport; Fla; a niece, Carol Lee Johnson of Olympia, Wash.; nephews David J. Carlstrom of Lake Helen, Fla., and Thomas J. Carlstrom of Golden Valley, Minn.; and several cousins.
Burial in Oneota Cemetery.
