Dolly Louzette Richardson, 83, of Gainesville, MO passed to heaven on February 23, 2012 at the Gainesville Healthcare Center. She was born in Gainesville on December 14, 1928 the daughter of Carmel Anderson and Flossie Ann (Beasley) Allen.
Dolly was a graduate of Gainesville High School where she loved playing basketball. She was the captain of her high school team. She married William D. "Rich" Richardson and the couple lived in Wichita, KS for a few years before returning to Ozark County in the early 1950's. They purchased a farm Southeast of Gainesville next to the Faye school house where they raised their family. Dolly loved canning, cooking and her ceramics. She also loved to hunt. Dolly was a Christian and a long-time member of the Lilly Ridge General Baptist Church. She was loved and will be missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Rich; and nine siblings. Dolly is survived by two sons Rodney Richardson of Gainesville, MO and Michael Ray Richardson of Hardenville, MO; three grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, February 27, 2012 at the Lilly Ridge General Baptist Church, Gainesville, MO with Dale Roberts officiating. Burial will be in the Lilly Ridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lilly Ridge Cemetery.
