David D. Cole. Was on a Visit to His Sons in Choteau When He Succumbed

David D. Cole, 65 years of age, father-in-law of the Rev. C.E. Cunningham of Fort Benton, died at the home of his son, P.I. Cole at Choteau about 5 o'clock yesterday morning. The cause of death was heart failure. Mr. Cole was in apparently perfect health Friday, and did not complain of any illness until a short time before he died.

Mr. Cole made his home at Beebe, Ark., where he resided with his daughter, and was on a visit to his three sons at Choteau when he was overtaken by death. He returned a short time ago from San Francisco where he had gone to meet the members of the Grand Party of the Republic in annual convention. He served in the civil war, enlisting from Ohio.

Mr. Cole is survived by three sons, Schuyler, P. I., and Hayes Cole at Choteau; a daughter, Mrs. C. E. Cunningham at Fort Benton; a son residing at Waverly, Iowa, and two daughters in Arkansas.

The body passed through Great Falls last night en route to Beebe, Ark., where burial will take place, and a short burial service was held at George's undertaking rooms in Great Falls. The body will be accompanied east by Rev. and Mrs. C.E. Cunningham.
