Ellick E. Woltzen, 85, a retired farmer, died at 9:15 a.m. Friday at St James Hospital, Pontiac, after an illness of four weeks.

He was taken to the Tallyn-Folkers Memorial Home, Minonk, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Clarence Gess officiating. Burial will be in Benson Cemetery.

Mr Woltzen was born March 26, 1868 in Greene Township, near Benson, a son of Ede and Geska Saathoff Woltzen. He married Talena Folkers Feb. 24, 1891 at St Peter's Lutheran Church west of Benson. She died Dec. 12, 1929. Since that time he had been living here with his daughter, Mrs Sena Heineke.

Surviving besides the daughter are two sisters, Mrs Fannie Brown, Mrs Marie Klumpp, both of Roanoke; four grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Two sisters and four brothers preceded him in death.

He was a member of St Paul's Lutheran church here.
