Russell - Manford C. Wilkerson, 72, died Sunday at the Russell City Hospital. Born Feb. 18, 1908, in Lucas; he married Bonnie Lee Chambers, April 26, 1962, in Salina. He was a retired oil field driller; and a lifetime resident of the area. He was a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church, the VFW, and the American Legion, all of Russell. He married in 1929 to Grace Dumler (the mother of his children); in 1962 to Bonnie Chambers.

Survivors: widow, of the home; daughters: Mrs. Joan Hunsley and Mrs. Kathleen Steinle, both of Russell; Mrs. Ruth Sloan, Great Bend; Mrs. Ida Eichman and Mrs. Linda Webster, both of Derby; Mrs. Judy Goodheart, Bunker Hill; Mrs. Carolyn Herber, Dorrance; stepson: Robert J. Walker, Russell; step-dau: Mrs. Virginia Norwood, Gt. Bend; Mrs. JoAnna Winslow, Buffalo, OK; brothers: Murl Wilkerson, Gt. Bend; Edmund Wilkerson, Bellevue, FL; 23 grandchildren; four gt. grandchildren.

Funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Pohlman's Memorial Chapel, the Rev. Raymond York officiating. Burial will be at the Russell City Cemetery. Family suggests memorials to the Russell Hospital Foundation.
