George E Slay, 82, a native of Copiah County, died here at 8 am Tuesday in the home of his son, A H Slay of 101 Kimbrough Drive.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Thursday from the First Baptist Church in Crystal Springs, with the Rev M D Morton and the Rev Freddie Brister officiating, Rev T W Green of Jackson assisting. Interment will be in Harmony Cemetery at Crystal Springs.

He is survived by six daughters: Mrs Estelle Crook, Jackson; Mrs Annie May Parker, Jackson; Mrs Georgia Milan, New Orleans; Mrs Verna Jungles, San Francisco, Cal; Mrs Grace Rogers, Rogerville, Tenn; 5 sons, A H Slay, Jackson; Melvin Slay, Paducah, Kentucky; one sister; Mrs R S Alford, Crystal Springs; Silas Slay, Hazlehurst; J J Slay, McComb.

Pallbearers are: Floyd Slay, Harold Youngblood, Voyce Ferguson; Douglas Slay, Earl Slay, W C Parker, Jr
