Funeral services for Mrs. Joyce Cotton Bizzell, age 70 of Dickson, formerly of Chapel Hill were conducted Saturday February 25, 2012 at 11A.M. from the Chapel of the Lawrence Funeral Home in Chapel Hill, Tennessee with Bro. Stan Butt Jr. officiating. Place of rest is in the Joe White Cemetery in the Allisona Community. Services here were under the direction of the Taylor Funeral Home and later under the direction of the Lawrence Funeral Home.


Joyce, a retired housekeeper for the Veterans Hospital, died Wednesday February 22, 2012 at the N.H.C. Health Care Center in Dickson. A native of Franklin, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Denzel Byron and Mabel Turner Cotton. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Billy Graham Bizzell, and her brother, Billy Cotton. She was a member of the Walnut St. Church of Christ.


Survivors include her daughter, Lydia Dee Bizzell of Dickson, TN; brother, Byron Cotton and wife Susan of Dickson, TN; three sisters, Elaine Beard and husband Boyd of Cumberland Furnace, TN; Carolyn Qualls and husband Dale of Dickson, TN; Annette Davidson of Dickson, TN; sister-in-law, Lois Cotton of Waverly, TN; several nieces and nephews.
