∼OBITUARY OF JOHN R. ALLEN
GUYMON, Oklahoma -- John R. ALLEN, 94, died Thursday, March 11, 2004, in Amarillo, Texas.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today in First United Methodist Church of Spearman, Texas, with the Rev. Ken Cole officiating. Burial will be in Hansford Cemetery in Spearman by Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home.
Mr. ALLEN was engaged in farming, retiring in 1974. He served several years as under sheriff for Texas County.
Survivors include three daughters, Marilyn WILSON of Crawford, Barbara RAPP and Jane WHITFORD, both of Guymon; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity. Memorials will be accepted at Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1112, Guymon, OK 73942.
