Funeral services for Jesse Fields, age 53, who passed away Sunday in the hospital at Madison were conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 at the Carlisle Chapel by Rev. Albert Copeland. The Friends church provided the music.

Mr. Fields was born in Hendricks county. He came to Morgan county later in life where he spent the remainder of his life. For several years, he has been in failing health. In September 1935, he became converted during a visit made with him by Rev. Copeland and became a member of the Friends church. His daughter, Mrs. Doris Sheets, called on her father a week ago and found him much better. His death was a shock to his family. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Sheets of Mooresville, Mrs. Helen Quakenbush and Mrs. Myrtle Lee Fishel, one sister, Mrs. Arthur Cook; four brothers, Lon Fields, Jim Fields, all of Mooresville; Charles Fields of Indianapolis, and Frank Fields of Plainfield. Burial was in the Mooresville cemetery.
