Former area resident Jack L. Bowman, 69, of Lincoln died
Saturday, Jan. 3, 2004, at Bryan/LGH Medical Center west
in Lincoln.

Services are 2 p.m. Tuesday at McLaughlin Funeral Home in
Clay Center with the Rev. John Green officiating. Burial will be in Fairfield Cemetery at Fairfield.

Mr. Bowman was born Oct.16, 1934, to Fitzhugh and
Loraine (Hamburger) Bowman in Fairfield. He attended school
in Fairfield and graduated from Fairfield High School in 1953.

He drove truck for Deweese Sand and Gravel in Deweese
and Hastings Casket Co. in Hastings. He later moved to
Alabama where he was a prison guard and later a security guard.

In 1998, he moved back to Nebraska due to failing health.
He was a resident of Milder Manor in Lincoln for the past
few years.

Survivors are three sons, Jack Jr. and Bobby, both of Lincoln, and Randy of Des Moines, Iowa; one daughter, Robin Clemments of Stevensville, Texas; two sisters, Donna Bowman of Oak Park, Okla., and Dorothy Oreskovich of Lincoln; and five grandchildren.

Memorials may be given to the family.
