John Theodore Fissel and his wife, Alice Louise, died Thursday at their home at Abbottstown, about 18 hours apart. Mr. Fissel died at 1:45 a. m., and his widow passed away at 8:10 p. m. Both deaths were due to heart trouble. Mrs. Fissel, who had been in ill health for about eight weeks, had not been told of her husband's passing. Mr. Fissel was a son of Jacob and Susanna Moul Fissel, and was born November 9, 1863. He was 67 years old. . He leaves a daughter, Mrs. Harry Lillich, Abbottstown; seven granchildren; one brother, George A. Fissel, Springs Grove, and two sisters, Mrs. G. M. Freed, Abbottstown, and Mrs. Michael Hoke, Hanover. Mrs. Fissel, who was 78. was the daughter of Levi and Louise Myers Groscost. Besides the daugher and grandchildren, she is surived by a sister, Mrs. Anna Bixer, Hanover. A double funeral was. held Monay at 1:30 p. m., with brief servces in the Lutheran church at Abottstown.
