Father of William: Henry McKelvey, died 16 April 1867 in Tallapoosa County. Alabama. He left a Will, naming his four children by Martha and 10 by second wife, Nancy Gassaway, Henry was from Laurens County, South Carolina and served in the War of 1812, His parents are not known at this time but DNA testing shows that we are related to the McKelvey family of James and Margaret who came from Ireland into Charleston, SC and settled in Laurens Co., SC in the 1700s
