George L. Stewart passed away Monday evening at his home 415 N. Encinitas ave. Mr. Stewart was born in New York City and has been a resident of Monrovia for the past 16 years. He was a member of Monrovia Lodge No. 1427 B. P. O. E.
Surviving are his wife Mrs. Marguerite Stewart; father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. William Stewart and two sisters, Anita Stewart Converse, former motion picture actress, and Lucille Stewart of Beverly Hills.
Services will be conducted Thursday afternoon at the chapel of W. B. Temple at 2 o'clock with the Rev. George West Barrett, rector of St. Luke's Episcopal church, officiating. Entombment will be made in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
