Mr. Moench was the son of Louis Frederick Moench, founder and first president of Weber State College. In 1940 he opened the Moench-Davis Buick Corp. in Los Angeles and was owner at the time of his death. In 1957 he started a new automotive import sales agency, Monech Davis Imports.
Mr. Moench was a director and vice president of the Mission National Bank of Los Angeles.
He was a member of the Sheriff's Silver Mounted Posse and LDS Westwood Ward. He was a veteran of World War I.
He was a graduate of Weber Stake Academy and was a teller at the Ogden State Bank for 12 years. He left the bank in 1928 and moved to Los Angeles where he worked for General Motors.
He was married to Catherine Curby of Los Angeles in 1928. They were later divorced. In 1950 he was married to Alice Adele Felix of Los Angeles.
Surviving are his widow, and a sister, Mrs Walter R. (Delecta) Davis.
Funeral services and burial will be in Los Angeles.
