Mr. Bertrand joined the U.S. Army in 1941, as a rifle markman, and was honorable discharged in 1946, with a Bronze Star and a Victory Ribbon, one service stripe, two overseas service bars. He was a carpenter by profession. He loved to tell stories of his life. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents Austin Craig and Eula Edna Bertrand, wife Una Jewel Bertrand in 1992, a brother and sister.
