OBITUARY.
Catherine Stover was born in Doniphan County, Pennsylvania October 2, 1849, and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. S. J. Pemberton, Winchester, Kansas, December 2, 1912, aged 63 years, 2 months.
January 4, 1874 she was united by marriage with Peter W. Sears at Logansport, Indiana. Some 30 years ago the family came to Kansas. Her husband departed this life 13 years ago. She is survived by her mother and two sisters living in Logansport, Indiana, and by her only child who survived beyond infancy, Mrs. S. G. Pemberton, and her family.
In her early years Mrs. Sears was a member of the Lutheran church. Some twenty years ago she became a member of the Methodist Episcopal church and continued to hold this relationship to her life's close.
The funeral service was conducted by Dr. A. H. Boyd at the Methodist church at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Interment was made in the Wise cemetery.
