Financier, broker and former vice president of the Bank of America in Los Angeles. He was the youngest son of Herman Hellman, whose family founded the Hellman Commercial Trust & Savings Bank. They merged with the Bank of Italy in 1929 to become the Bank of America. He was also president of the Board of Police Pension Commissioners and the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce board of directors, and he helped found the City of Hope of Cedars of Lebanon hospitals.
