Ruth Hazel McCall, 77, passed away Thursday, February 3, 2005 at Riverside Methodist Hospital after an 11 year battle with breast cancer. Ruth was extremely active at Sharon Woods Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday School Teacher, a church clerk, a choir member, a Bible Study Leader and was on the Church Kitchen Committee. She was an excellent seamstress and cook, whom her family will warmly remember as "Busy Hands". She was a partner in the Piano Service Industry with her late husband, Raye A. McCall. Ruth was also a Registered Nurse in Calif. before moving to Columbus. Preceded in death by her husband, parents John and Phila Norton and brother Phillip Norton. Survived by children, Ronald (Carla) McCall and Arlene (Gary) Belter; grandchildren, Randal (Kathryn) McCall, Robin (Darren) Wagner, Amy (Jacob) Van Lear, Sarabeth (Ben) Collins, Russell Urban and Krista Belter; great-granddaughter, Allison Wagner; step-great-granddaughters, Jesse and Paige Breshears; brothers, Lewis Norton and Henry (Pat) Norton; sister-in-law, Gladys Norton; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and church friends. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 8, 2005 at Sharon Woods Baptist Church, 5959 Sharon Woods Blvd. Pastor Brian McCoy officiating. Family will receive friends Monday from 6-8 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Rd. and one hour prior to the service at church. Interment to follow service at Kingwood Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Homereach Hospice or Transworld Radio.
