The Rev. Danny Robert Leftwich, Sr., 60, of Mount Airy, passed away Monday, January 1, 2007, at his home.

Mr. Leftwich was born March 18, 1946, in Surry County, to the late Walter Seba Leftwich, Sr. and Hallie Savada Collins Leftwich. Since 1962,

Danny organized several gospel music groups, including The Revelations Quartet, The Joyful Heirs, The Gospel Believers, Saved By Grace, and Just Us.

The Rev. Leftwich was ordained into the ministry on October 17, 1998.

Burial will follow in the Amazing Grace Baptist Church Cemetery.
