Felix Morgan Franks Sr., 92, of Hayti, Mo., died Thursday, March 11, 2004, at the Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett, Mo.
Born April 20, 1911, in Houston, Miss., he was the son of the late Alvie and Dora Ashcraft Franks.
He was also preceded in death by one son, Felix Franks, Jr., on December 29, 2001; one daughter, Mary Beck on July 25, 1998 and one great-grandson, George Morgan, on July 31, 1989.
Felix was united in marriage to Lucille Mary McKnight on March 21, 1931, in Lepanto, Ark. She preceded him in death on May 28, 2003.
He was retired from M.F.A. Fertilizer and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.
Mr. Franks leaves two sons: Walter Franks and his wife Murline, and A.G. Franks and his wife Bonnie of Hayti; one daughter-in-law, Alma Ruth Franks, of Kennett; three sisters: Blanche Napier, Margie Pebbles, and Mary Alice Dickson, all of Michigan; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Franks were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 14, 2004 at the Calvary Baptist Church in Hayti with rev. Jerry Baker officiating.
Burial was at the Pemiscot Memorial Gardens Cemetery in rural Caruthersville, Mo., with John W. German Funeral Home of Hayti in charge.
Pallbearers were Walter Franks, Jr., A.G. "Sam" Franks, Jr., Randall Franks, Randall Franks, Jr., Joe Gorman and Shane Deaton.
