Bob Brisco was born in San Diego, California. He lost both parents at a young age and was raised by his uncle, William Rigg Brisco, grandmother, Hannah Rigg Brisco, and aunt, Saide Brisco. He considered them his parents and placed their names on official documents.

He was known by his middle name, Albert, among his original family members, largely because there were several Roberts; his grandfather and uncle were both named Robert. As an adult he went by Bob.

Bob worked the Santa Fe railroad all of his working years; he's listed as a "traffic clerk" in 1930 and "clerk" in 1940.

Bob was a very outgoing person with a fun sense of humor, but also had an extremely strong ethical side.

Bob's interest were many. As a young person he loved to sail. He enjoyed reading and kept up with things. He loved plants and growing things. He became interested in pollination of plants - trying to create a yellow camellia. He and second wife Alta had large rose garden and joined the Rose Society. He built a hot house and grew some beautiful orchids.

Bob was beloved and is remembered fondly.
