Edward Eustace Bragg was the first of this Bragg family to arrive in southern California. It was in 1935, Edward Eustace , his wife Edna Olive, and two sons Ralph and Ronald Eustace 'Ron' Bragg left Savannah, Georgia for good and relocated to Los Angeles. It was during the depression and Edward Eustace was fortunate to find work as a auto mechanic. He bought his first house for $1,100 which was a bank foreclosure. He eventually started his own business, a mattress factory which proved successful. His son, Ron, took over the mattress business when he got out of the Marines in 1952 until he closed it in 1967 to go into real estate with his brother Ralph.
