Restaurateur. Owner of the ever popular and elegant Michael's Los Feliz restaurant at the corner of Los Feliz Blvd. and Hillhurst Street, Los Angeles for many many years. It had several dining rooms and each was more opulent than the next. It was formerly The Brown Derby. Other restaurants he had was Raffles, another famous landmark in the Leimert district of Los Angeles and Michael's on Anaheim-Telegraph Road in the City of Commerce. He was also a major landowner. In 1964 he purchased a 280 acre alfalfa and cattle ranch in Lancaster. At the time he already owned a 1300 acre ranch in Bakersfield. The Michael's restaurants were named after his son.
