Elks Official Dies at Arcadia
ARCADIA – William Andrew Abernathy. 75, life member and past exalted ruler of Elks Lodge 1073, Redding, Calif, and for 25 years executive secretary of the lodge, died at his home 600 N. Old Ranch Rd. yesterday.
Mr. Abernathy was born in Red Bank, Calif., and had lived in Arcadia for the past year. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Louette Abernathy and a daughter, Mrs. James P. Frazer of Arcadia.
Private services for the family will be conducted tomorrow at 7 p.m. at the chapel of the Glasser and Miller Mortuary by Pasadena Elks Lodge 672.
It is requested that flowers be omitted.
