Graveside and committal services will be held at 4pm Saturday in Blue Ridge Cemetery in Blue Ridge with Jo Goodson, Phillip Ross, Rickey Landers, Larry Jennings, Jimmy Don Smith, David White, J.D. Eppars, Jay Green and Rickey Vaughn serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbeareres will be Jack Gillis, Bobby Gillis, Steve Eppars, Leroy Harmon, Leonard Stout, Vicki Neal and Gene Giles.
Mr Giles died at 10:25am Tuesday Sept 8, in Hopkins County Memorial Hospital from injuries sustained in a truck-train crash near Cumby.
He was born March 26, 1957 in Sulphur Springs, the son of Fred and Wyvonne Nichols Giles. He married Alisha Goodson on April 12, 1985 in Sulphur Springs. She survives.
Mr Giles was a 1976 graduate of Sulphur Springs High School. He was employed as a truck driver by A.K. Gillis and Sons Construction Company.
Other survivors include his parents of Sulphur Springs, a son, Tony Giles of Sulphur Springs, a stepson Jarrod Kirkpatrick of Sulphur Springs; a daughter Wendy Giles of Sulphur Springs and two brothers, Terry Michael Giles of Tyler, and Stanley Keith Giles of Greenville.
He was preceded i death by a twin brother, Mickey Ray Giles in 1957 an a brother, Jerry Fred Giles, in 1994.
