Charles J. Glass, a veteran flour and feed dealer of this city and member of the firm of Glass, Breed & Co., died at his home, 421 South Salina st., shortly after 8 o'clock last evening. Mr. Glass was born in the town of Van Buren, February 8, 1842. He came to Syracuse in 1857, and was in business in East Water st. until his death. Mr. Glass is survived by two brothers, Surrogate Edgar P. Glass and Jay J. Glass, and also by one sister, who lives at the homestead in South Salina st. Prayer will be held at the house at 10:30 o'clock Monday morning and funeral services will be held at the chapel at Oakwood at 11 o'clock.

Business associates adopt resolutions on his death

The funeral of Charles J. Glass, whose death occurred on Thursday, was held this morning. A prayer was made at the family home, No. 421 South Salina street at 10:00 o'clock and funeral services were held at Oakwood chapel at 11 o'clock. The Rev. Thomas J. Villers officiated. Burial was made in the family lot in Oakwood cemetery.
At a meeting of the board of trustees of the Syracuse Glass company, of which Mr. Glass was a respected and honored member, held on Saturday afternoon, resolutions were adopted, showing the esteem in which he was held by his business associates.
