Mrs. Harrison, a retired secretary for DCSC, passed away February 12, 2011, at the Chestnut House. She was born April 1, 1924, in Newark, to the late John Carl and Verna (Yerian) Goode.
Mrs. Harrison was a long-term member of the Neal Avenue United Methodist Church, where she served as Sunday School Teacher and on many committees. She was a member of DAR and a member of her sorority for 68 years. She was a volunteer on Meals on Wheels
She is survived by her daughter, Deborah K. Moore, of Worthington; son, James C. (Cheryl) Harrison, of Midland, Michigan; two grandsons, Luke and Kirk Harrison, both of Midland, Michigan; sister-in-law, Francis Harrison of Newark; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard E. "Dick" Harrison, whom she married on June 19, 1949; and brother, Howard Goode.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Neal Ave. United Methodist Church, 12 Neal Ave. Newark, Ohio 43055.
