Obituary for Coy A. Page
Mr. Coy A. Page of Lake View Died Tuesday July 21, 1998 at Mclead Regional Medical Center in Florence after an illness.
Funeral service will be help 4 p.m. Friday at the Bear Swamp Baptist Church. Burial will be in Bear Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery directed by Cook Funeral Home, Inc. Lake Vuew,S.C.
Mr. Page was the son of H.A. (ATT) Page and Lottie Garris Page. Coy graduated from Lake View High School. He was a retiree of Du Pont and emplyed with Pilliods Furniture. He was a member of Bear Swamp Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife Lois Orr Page of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Stephen Coy and Sharon Page of Florence; one daughter and son-in-law Shawn Page and Jeff Horne of Lake View; two grandsons, Hunter and Tristian Horne also of Lake View; one sister Joan Page Brewer of Allendale,SC.

Coy Attis Page was born July 13, 1935 in Mullins Hospital in Mullins, SC to the Parents Harvey Attis (Att) and Lottie A.Garris Page of Lake View, SC. Seven years later he had a sister Joan C. Page. During his school days he was a boyscout and also became an Eagle Scout. He graduated from Lake View High School in 1954. Coy was married to Lois W. Orr Page for 43 years. They were married in Dillon,SC on Nov. 13, 1954. They had 2 children Stephen Coy and Shawn Michelle Page. Besides working and retiring from Du Pont in Florence,SC he also helped his father Att Page on the farm. Planting and putting in tobacco and maintaining a big garden every year. He also was a wonderful carpenter. He built the house he lived in all his life with his wife and children with the help of his father. He also loved animals he raised horses, cows, chickens and hogs too. He also loved dogs. He grew blueberries and all types of grapes behind the barn of his house. At one time he rode horses in horse shows and won many ribbons he also loved to play golf and he was a great lover of guns. In the 1980's he and his son Stephen would go to gun competitions and always came home with tropies mostly all 1st places. Usually at night or on the weekends if he wasn't fishing you could find him at home in his barn working on wood projects. He made many items for his house and for other family members he could make a cabinet or just about anything without a pattern. Sometimes he would take his grapes and make homemade wine. He also loved country music and was a good shagger when it came to beach music. Coy was a wonderful husband and a great father and grandfather. He loved his 2 grandsons Hunter and Tristian very much.
