Early Life: Mildred was born December 28, 1890, in Madison, Wisconsin, a daughter of Orman J. "John O" and Emma Telitha Pruett Bates. In 1898, she came to the Bitteroot with her family.
Life’s Work | Service | Interests: On September 29, 1912, she married John William Wallace in Corvallis, Montana. He passed away in 1962. Mildred lived in Hamilton, Montana, until July of 1969, when she moved to Idaho to be near her daughters. Mildred Jeanette Bates Wallace passed from this life Sunday, October 1970, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She was 79.
Survived By: Two daughters, Thelma Lorene Wallace Fullmer (Fred) and Ellen Marie Wallace Morris (Winston), both of Idaho Falls, ID; three brothers, Walter and William Bates, both of Hamilton, MT; and Roy Bates, of Missoula, MT; two sisters, Mrs. Wendall Johnson, Butte, MT; and Mrs. John McKay, South St. Paul, MN; four grandchildren and a great grandchild.
