Kenneth Leon Bean, age 83, passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2010, at Blount Memorial Hospital.
He was a member of Broadway Baptist Church and retired from the United States Postal Service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Arthur and Lula Pearl Bean; brothers, Carl Bean and Clyde Bean; sisters, Mildred Webb, Ada Boling, and Elizabeth Bean.
Survivors include his devoted and loving wife of 64 years, Jane Carringer Bean; daughter, Kathryn (Kiki) Bean; sons, Kenneth (Kenny) Bean (Linda) and Robert (Bobby) Bean (Gladys); grandchildren, Beverly Hill (Charles), Cindy Brown (Brian), Kristen Franzen (Travis), Karen Duggan (David), and John Kenneth Bean; great grandchildren, Kelsey Christopher, Charlie Hill, III, Kaitlyn Hill, Jazlyn Brown, Brayden Franzen, and Andrew Duggan; several nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Broadway Baptist Church with Rev. Tony Collins and Rev. David Webster officiating. The interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-3:00 p.m. Sunday at the Church.
