Mr Lambert grew up in the Muleshoe, Texas area, and there he married his lovely wife, Gladys Merle Fuller in 1932. They moved to Kerrville for the first time in 1948. He owned and operated a trucking business through which he supplied local ranchers with feed. Upon accepting a position with Coastal States as a driver, they lived in Corpus Christi and Houston before retiring to Marble Falls in 1969. After the death of his wife, he moved back to Kerrville in 1986. He was a member of the Sidney Baker Church of Christ.
Mr Lambert was preceded in death by his parents, James Thomas and Nettie Harp Lambert; his wife, Gladys Lambert; four brothers and five sisters; a son, James Nolan Lambert and a daughter, Sally Mary Carney.
Survivors include brothers, Bill Lambert and Woodrow Lambert, both of Muleshoe; sisters, Marie Lane and Freda Foss, both of Muleshoe; children Rita M Baker of Kerrville, Nan Mosty of Kerrville, Patsy Pruett of Corpus Christi, Jerry Lambert of Cuero, Joe Lambert of Victoria and Linda Petty of Spring; also 18 grandchildren; 24 great-granchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of loving friends and neighbors.
A funeral service will be at 2 pm Tuesday, December 16, at the Kerrville Funeral Home Chapel with Greg Cummings, minister of Sidney Baker Church of Christ, officiating. Interment will follow at Garen of Memories Cemetery.
Those serving as pallbearers are Jim Lambert, Jack Lambert, Joey Lambert, Justin Lambert, Ben Lambert, Bobby Mosty and John Ryan Cooley.
Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of Kerrville Funeral Home.
