Earlma B. Peters Baker, 70, of West Lafayette, died at 8:10 AM Thursday [March 1, 1973] in St. Mary Hospital, Rochester, MN, where she had been a patient since Feb. 10, following ill-health since September 1972. Born and reared at Dayton, she had lived in West Lafayette for the past 40 years. In 1926, she married Clark L. Baker, at Dayton, and he survives. Prior to his retirement, he was in the Agriculture Crop Reporting Service in the Ag-Econ Department at Purdue University.

Mrs. Baker graduated from Purdue University in 1924 in the School of Home Economics. She taught home economics at Dayton High School for many years. She was a charter member of Covenant Presbyterian Church, a member of Dayton Order of Eastern Star 233, and Alpha Chi Omega sorority.

Surviving with the husband are twin daughters, Jane (Mrs. Dale) Goris of Logansport and Miss Jean Baker of West Lafayette; and five grandchildren.
