Seymour-Burton Beverly Sprowls, 66. died at 12:20 p.m. Monday at his residence in Seymour.
Funeral was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, at First Baptist Church with the Rev.Jerry Hodges, pastor of Northeast Baptist Church officiating, assisted by the Rev. Loyd McIntosh.
Burial in Riverview Cemetery under direction of Elliston-Archer Funeral Home.
He was born April 28, 1904, in Leonard, but had been a Baylor County resident for 50 years. He married his wife, Mary Louella Belknap in 1933 in Seymour. He was a member of the Northeast Baptist Church.
Survivors are his wife, Mary of Seymour; four sons, James,Clovis William "C.W.", and Larry David, all of Lubbock. and Jessie Burton of Seymour; one daughter, Mrs. Beverly Joan Leatherwood of Seymour; four brothers Allen of Garland, Hubert of Wichita Falls, Wylie of Fort Worth and Grover of Seymour; six sisters, Mrs. Joy Melton, Mrs. Beatrice Hill and Miss Mozelle Sprowls, all of Seymour, Mrs. Florence Thomas of Bowie and Mrs. Geraldine Stennett and Mrs. Fern Davis, both of Fort Worth; and 12 grandchildren.
