MARY C. ANDERSON, 92

Mary C. Anderson, 92, 110 N. 12th St., Olean, N.Y., died Monday, March 15, 2004, at Olean General Hospital after a short illness.

Mrs. Anderson was born Nov. 18, 1911, in Dora, the daughter of the late James and Ester Dinger Young.

She was married to Earl Anderson, who preceded her in death Sept. 14, 1978.

Mrs. Anderson attended school in Ringgold and had been a resident of Olean for the last 46 years.

Along with her husband, she worked as a domestic and business house-cleaner. She loved crocheting blankets and making afghans for her family and friends.

Mrs. Anderson is survived by a daughter, Doris Marlene Chambers and husband Richard of Olean; three step-daughters, Joan Cornelius of Shinglehouse, Pa., Sandy Baldwin of Bolivar, N.Y., and Beverly Plowman and husband Bill of Bradford; two step-sons, Chuck Anderson of George and Bob Anderson of California; six grandchildren; 24 step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; 37 step-great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Bernice Young of Brockway; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Robert Reitz on June 20, 2000; two step-great-grandchildren; three brothers; and seven sisters.

Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, March 18, 2004, and from 10 a.m. until time of services on Friday, March 19, 2004, at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, Olean.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 19, 2004, at the funeral home with the Rev. David Johnson officiating.

Interment will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
