James Burton Harden

Mr. James Burton Harden, age 84, of Shelbyville died February 19, 2012 at Tennessee State Veterans' Home in Murfreesboro. He is now with our Lord and Savior and with his family and friends who preceded him in death. Mr. Harden is the son of the late James Paschal and Lizzie Harden. He is retired from Eaton Corp. He was faithful to God and attended Victory Baptist Church and member of Gospel Chapel. Mr. Harden was a Korean War Veteran. Mr. Harden is survived by three sons: Paschal and wife Marsha, Everette and wife Bonnie, and Randall. He is survived by three sisters: Elizabeth Thomason, Clara Mae Mantanona and Barbara Angus, and two brothers: Sherman and Tommy. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by wife: Parthina (Baltimore) and wife: Virginia (Howard) Harden, a son: Howard, two brothers: Earl and George, three sisters: Martha Jean Jones, Clara Mae Brown and Louise Smith, and a step-mother: Martha Harden. Visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 from 5-8 p.m. at Gowen-Smith Chapel. Funeral services will be on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at 11 a.m. with Bro. Tedder officiating. Burial will follow at Willow Mount Cemetery in Shelbyville with full military honors.
