Longtime Danville State Hospital employee
Emily P. Shepperson, 77, of Avenue C in Riverside, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012, at her daughter's home in Bloomsburg.
She was born on Feb. 1, 1935, in Danville, a daughter of the late Clair and Gertrude (Snyder) Dauberman.
Mrs. Shepperson worked at the Danville State Hospital for more than 22 years.
Emily lived to take care of her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her two sons: Samuel and his wife, Christine Hummer, of Muncy, and Richard and his wife, Sandi Quick, of Kentucky; a daughter, Cynthia Riegel of Bloomsburg; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Beverly Jensen.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012, at the Brady Funeral Home, 320 Church St. in Danville. The burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Danville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral services.
