James George Audia, born July 25, 1948, died Thursday, Aug. 25, 2005, at his residence after a short illness.

He earned a degree in business and accounting from West Virginia State College and retired from Union Carbide with 28 years of service. He loved golf, playing the guitar and pinochle.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Audia; paternal grandparents, Gaetano and Maria Audia; and maternal grandparents, George and Bessie Dagres.

Jim is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Dagres Audia; sister and brother-in-law, Tina and John Tabor of Charleston; and niece and nephew, Talia and Johnny Tabor.

The family received friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be conducted at noon Saturday, Aug. 27, at St. John's Greek Orthodox Church. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, South Charleston.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. John's Greek Orthodox Church or HospiceCare. Envelopes will be provided by the funeral home.
