William Frederick Albright, son of William Frederick and Jennie Von Sellion Albright, was born December 7, 1853, at Ulm Wustenberg, Germany. At the age of 17, in 1869, he came to America and in 1873, as soon as he became of age, he became a naturalized citizen. He was always loyal to the country of his adoption. In 1878, at Bloomington, II., the subject of this sketch was united in marriage to Adelaide Wentz, to which union were born nine children, five boys and four girls. All are living except Frances, a baby girl who died in infancy. The widow and children as follows, survive; Henry F. Albright, Marie Sheneman, William I. Albright, Tbeodore Albright, Frederick D. Albright, Clara M. Aull, Joseph Albright, Ada Albright. The family lived in Illinois and Kansas, and came to Oklahoma in 1891, taking up a homestead a mile south of Jones City for several years, recently the family had lived in town where Mr. Albright was postmaster for years. His health failing a couple of years ago they moved to Oklahoma City, and there shortly after midnight last Wednesday he passed away at the age of 67 years, 5 months and seven days. Mr. Albright was confirmed in the Lutheran church when a youth, and always held to that faith. He was a just and upright man and good citizen, a loving father and husband, a man to whom everyone was a friend, and many mourn with the relatives over his passing. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in the M. E church in Jones City and were attended by large number of friends of deceased. Rev. Ivan Byrd had charge of the services. Burial was in the Odd Fellows' Cemetery.
