GEORGETOWN, Texas - Wilma M. Bethany, 94, longtime Russell resident, died Jan. 23, 2003, at Wesleyan Care Center. She was born Jan. 28, 1908, in Maramec, Okla. to John Thomas and Ella Mae (Quigley) Thomas. She married Allen Leroy Bethany on Oct. 31, 1924, in Hominy, Okla. He died Oct. 1, 1983. She was a resident of Russell for 50 years and had lived in Georgetown since 2001. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include a son, Glenn, Monument, Colo.; two daughters, Darlene Willson and Phyllis Evans, both of Georgetown; a sister, Treva M. Blackwell, Colorado Springs, Colo.; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Russell City Cemetery. Pohlman's Mortuary, Russell, is in charge of arrangements.
