Edna O. Henrichs, 93, died Thursday, Sept. 19, 2002 at Mercy Hospital, Independence, Kansas.

She was born on Oct. 25, 1908 in Cheney, Kansas, the daughter of William A. Wulf and Hulda Oehlert.

She graduated from Cheney High School and later attended Wichita Business College.

On Jan. 1, 1935 she married Martin T.J. Henrichs in Humboldt. He preceded her in death on Dec. 20, 1971.

She had been a resident of Glenwood Estate of Independence, Kan. for the last three years and was formerly a 65-year resident of Humboldt.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Humboldt where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir. She was a member of Ladies Aid; the secretary of Dorcas for 24 years, a member of Lutheran Women's Missionary League; Hoe and Hope Garden Club; Wee Nick Depression Glass Club; and the Humboldt Historical Society. She was also active in the Retired Senior Volunteers program.

Survivors include: two sons, Martin William Henrichs of Valparaiso, IN, and Thomas Anthony Henrichs of Independence, KS; six grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and four step-great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Robert Matthew Henrichs and Joseph Stanley Henrichs; three sisters; and two brothers.

Funeral services will be Monday at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Humboldt, Kansas, with the Rev. David Meier and the Rev. Ron Oldenettel officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Humboldt, Kansas.

Johnson-Kunkel Mortuary, Humboldt, Kansas is in charge of arrangements.
